Everything you need to know about TokoFeed.

What is TokoFeed?

TokoFeed is an AI-powered news-to-social-media pipeline. Choose the topics you care about, get a personalized news feed, and turn breaking stories into polished social media posts in minutes — or fully automatically.

The platform monitors top news sources, curates the latest stories, and uses AI to generate on-brand posts for X (Twitter) and LinkedIn, guided by your custom knowledge base.

Core Features

News Feed

The homepage displays the latest news from your selected topics, fetched every 4 hours from top sources. Filter by topic or time range (24 hours, 3 days, week). Each article card includes a “Write a Post” button to start drafting immediately.

Bookmark articles for later with the save icon on any article card. Use the “Saved” filter to quickly find your bookmarked articles. Articles older than 30 days are automatically archived to keep the feed fresh.

Guidelines

Guidelines are markdown knowledge bases that define your brand voice, tone, messaging pillars, and guardrails. The AI uses your guideline to generate posts that sound like you. You can write guidelines manually, upload existing documents (.md, .txt, .docx), or auto-generate one from your company name using AI research.

Guidelines also learn from your feedback — when you chat with the AI assistant and refine posts, those preferences are saved and applied to future generations.

Draft Pipeline

Create social media posts in two ways:

  • From news: Select an article, choose a guideline, and let AI generate a draft
  • From scratch: Provide a topic or notes and generate, or write directly in the editor

The draft wizard guides you through: choosing a guideline, selecting platforms (LinkedIn and/or X), generating with AI, editing with the Toko AI assistant, and publishing or scheduling.

Toko AI Assistant

Toko is an AI fox writing assistant that helps you iteratively refine your posts through chat. Ask Toko to make a post more concise, change the tone, add a hook, or adjust for a specific audience. Toko updates your draft in real-time as you chat.

Publishing & Scheduling

Publish directly to X and LinkedIn with one click, or schedule posts for a specific date and 30-minute time slot (all times in Eastern Time). Scheduled posts are automatically published by a background job that runs every 5 minutes. Connect your social accounts in Settings — the platform selector shows your connection status so you know which accounts are ready.

On the draft detail page, use the eye icon next to each platform tab to skip publishing to that platform while keeping the content. Already-scheduled posts show “Change Schedule” and “Cancel Schedule” buttons — change lets you pick a new date and time, cancel reverts the post to draft status.

The Drafts page has status tabs — Drafts, Scheduled, and Published — each with a count badge. The Scheduled tab includes a calendar view showing a 3-week grid of upcoming posts.

Review & Approval

Project owners can enable mandatory review in project settings. When turned on, editors and reviewers must get approval before publishing — but can still schedule posts while waiting for review. Project owners can always publish directly, even when mandatory review is enabled. Scheduled posts by non-owners that aren't approved in time are skipped by the publishing job and stay on the calendar for visibility.

You can request review at two points: during the draft creation wizard (step 3) or from the draft detail page. Select a specific team member to review — they receive an email notification and can approve or reject with a note. Approval and rejection attribution is shown on the draft card and detail page. You can also batch-request reviews for multiple drafts at once from the drafts list.

Automation

Enable fully automated posting to X. TokoFeed will pick the top news article every 24 hours, generate a positive on-brand post using your selected guideline, and publish automatically — no human intervention needed. Choose your preferred posting time, filter by news categories, and the system handles everything.

Automated posts include safety guardrails: all content is kept positive and constructive, with no politically controversial opinions or negative statements. If your project has mandatory review enabled, automation requires separate approval from an owner or reviewer before posts will publish.

Projects & Teams

Organize work into projects (workspaces). Every user starts with a Personal Project. Create named projects and invite team members with roles:

  • Owner: Full access, manage members and settings, transfer ownership
  • Admin: Same as Owner except cannot transfer ownership
  • Editor: Create and edit drafts, manage guidelines
  • Reviewer: Review and approve drafts before publishing

Guidelines, drafts, social connections, and automations are all scoped to the active project. Owners can transfer ownership to any team member in project settings — the transferring owner becomes an editor. Both parties receive an email notification. Owners can also delete a project from the Danger Zone section — this requires typing the project name to confirm and permanently removes all associated data.

Daily Digest

Subscribe to receive a daily email digest at 8 PM ET with the top news from your selected topics over the past 24 hours. New subscribers receive a welcome email with the latest articles immediately.

Email Notifications

Control which emails you receive in Settings. Toggle notifications on or off for four categories:

  • Project Activity — invitations, membership changes, ownership transfers
  • Draft Reviews — review requests, approvals, rejections
  • Publishing — automation and scheduled post results, failure alerts
  • Daily Digest — daily news digest emails

All notifications are enabled by default. You also receive emails when automation posts are published or when your automation is paused due to failures.

In-App Notifications

The notification bell in the header shows your unread notification count. Click it to see recent notifications — review requests, publishing results, project activity, and more. Click any notification to navigate directly to the related item, or use “Mark all read” to clear them. In-app notification preferences are configurable separately from email in Settings.

Settings

The Settings page lets you manage your social accounts (X and LinkedIn), choose your preferred AI model, configure email and in-app notification preferences, switch between light and dark mode, and update your profile photo.

Getting Started

  1. Sign in with Google or email link — no password needed.
  2. Create a guideline — define your brand voice. You can auto-generate one from your company name or upload an existing style guide.
  3. Connect your accounts — link X and/or LinkedIn in Settings.
  4. Write your first post — pick a news article, select your guideline, and click "Write a Post." Edit with Toko, then publish or schedule.
  5. Enable automation (optional) — go to Automation, select a guideline and categories, and turn it on for hands-free daily posting.

Supported Platforms

  • X (Twitter): Post text up to 280 characters with article URLs
  • LinkedIn: Post text with optional image uploads

AI Models

TokoFeed offers two AI models for content generation:

  • Fast (Gemini Flash Lite) — quick generation for drafts and iteration
  • Premium (Claude Sonnet) — higher quality for polished, publication-ready content

Set your preferred model in Settings. Automation always uses the Premium model.

Topics

Choose which topics appear in your feed from Settings. Articles are automatically categorized based on your selected topics. Default topics include AI Research, AI Startups, Financial Market, and Blockchain & Tokenization — with more available to add at any time.

Analytics

TokoFeed uses PostHog for product analytics to understand how users interact with the platform and improve the experience. We track feature usage, page visits, and errors. AI model usage (token counts, latency, costs) is also monitored to optimize performance. No personal content (your drafts, guidelines, or chat messages) is sent to analytics. See our Privacy Policy for details.
